Swiss ICT Yearbook 2023

We are back in the ICT Yearbook!

This year we are once again listed in the ICT Yearbook. We are also proud to have made it into the ranking of the largest agencies and digital service providers in Switzerland this year!

JMC ranked among the largest agencies and digital service providers in Switzerland

Every year, the Swiss ICT Yearbook publishes a ranking of the largest agencies and digital service providers in Switzerland. This year, JMC made it into the Top 40 list.

JMC has been operating in the Swiss market since 1996. Founded by CEO José Lopez as a sole proprietorship, the company experienced strong growth from the start and was converted into a limited liability company in 1998. Shortly thereafter, in 1999, JMC acquired Netannonce AG, further accelerating its growth. In 2002, JMC moved to its headquarters in Rotkreuz, where the JMC staff is still located today. In 2007, JMC expanded its own data centre with its own fibre optic line and additional racks. In 2009 the GmbH became an AG and in 2011 JMC started to build up its Network Engineering & Datacenter division. In 2013, PC Shop Nottwil GmbH became part of the JMC family and in 2014 it was transformed into IT Systems Nottwil GmbH. In 2016 and 2019, the JMC Systems unit was expanded and now manages three different data centre locations. In 2022, the JMC family grew again with the acquisition of Prime Office AG.

We look forward to further successful business activities and are excited about what the future holds for JMC.

The interview with CEO, José Lopez, in the ICT Yearbook

On page 138 of the Swiss ICT Yearbook 2023 you will find an interview with our CEO, José Lopez. In it, he talks about an expected market growth of 20% in the area of hybrid cloud, which promises a rosy future for Swiss cloud providers. According to Lopez, local providers and Swiss data centres will become increasingly important for data protection and cybersecurity.

Lopez also predicts that digital workplace strategies in 2023 will continue to be shaped by flexible and hybrid working models. Thanks to rental models, employers will have different options to better respond to the growing demands of young professionals, both economically and environmentally.

In addition, IT service providers are expected to face increasing demands in a fast-paced environment this year. As a result, high-performance, high-availability IT infrastructure solutions will continue to gain in importance, while system complexity and the criticality of failure should not be underestimated.

According to José Lopez, in 2023 the JMC will focus on accompanying digitalisation, process automation and optimisation, augmented reality and artificial intelligence or machine learning. Every day, the 4.0 way of working is opening up new and global avenues for companies in a wide range of areas.

When asked what new work strategies JMC uses to attract IT professionals, Lopez says that JMC focuses on its people. The company's culture, together with a range of benefits and contemporary values, creates a modern employer where a good work-life balance and a pleasant working environment are the order of the day.
