Starting point is the development of a backend system (online store) for dedicated licensees (buyer). flexbit.flexperience.org

This system can be used worldwide and supports different currencies as well as the two quantity systems "imperial" & "metric".

Licensees can order granules via the online portal and have the required materials delivered directly to the address or construction site on account. Different zones for the granulate can be created and configured via a wizard. Configurations include the dimensions of the zones and their color mixture. All material costs for granules, color and binder are calculated automatically.

The process has been digitized and supports both the customer and Gezolan's back office.
Material costs are no longer calculated manually, resulting in fewer errors in correct quantity ordering.
Invoicing is simplified because the purchase order provides all the required invoice data.

Color mixtures can be selected or even put together completely independently, giving the customer more flexibility.

On the infrastructure side, our engineering department migrated the outsourcing of the complete IT from onPremise to the JMC private cloud (Switzerland and America). This includes both infrastructural adjustments and support for the digitization of production processes.
The cloud infrastructure was set up in one weekend. The changeover for Switzerland and America took place in parallel with the key user test phase.

Challenges included communicating with the field office in America due to geographic, work culture and time differences, as well as maintaining 24/7 operations.
