The birth of Lake Constance Shipping Company (Bodensee-Schiffsbetriebe GmbH), or BSB for short, can be traced back to 1824. The first regular ship connection started in the times of the monarchy. King Wilhelm I of Württemberg was one of the initiators of the construction of the first steamship for Lake Constance. The smooth deck steamer "Wilhelm" was used between Friedrichshafen and Rorschach/Romanshorn from 1824. Since May 15, 2003, Lake Constance Shipping Company has been a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Konstanz GmbH.

Results

After several years of porting from an outdated Access version to a modern C# environment, the port server and all of the BSB's ship computers were equipped with the new RMS in late summer 2016, so that they could be used productively a short time later.
Since then, the RMS has been continuously expanded and optimized.
What used to be a very slow and laborious process is now done at lightning speed and without complications.
